Brenda Acevedo, MS, LPC, NCC
Brenda Acevedo is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 16 years of experience in Texas mental health services. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Brenda began her career in 2010 as a Mental Health Specialist for the State of Texas, serving indigent and underserved populations. She has since provided clinical care to diverse clients, including adults (men and women), children, couples, older adults, and families. She now works exclusively with adults, preferably women ages 18–65.
Her areas of expertise include trauma, and crisis intervention. She also has extensive experience working with clients diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and schizoaffective disorder. Additionally, Brenda focuses on personality disorders—particularly Narcissistic Personality Disorder—as well as relationship dynamics and family trauma, helping clients navigate complex interpersonal patterns, attachment wounds, and recovery from relational abuse. Brenda applies trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches to support healing, improve relational functioning, and foster long-term resilience.
